Social Responsibility

At INDi, we recognize how fortunate we are: we have the food, shelter and the clothing we need. Unfortunately, the same is not true for millions of people around the world. As an apparel manufacturer, we are uniquely able to help change this, and we are committed to doing so.

In October 2011, we formed a strategic alliance with Clothes4Souls that began with a gift of new clothing for several thousand people in need. More fundamentally, we have committed to continue this giving, and we now clothe a minimum of 10 people each and every day.

Clothes4Souls is a 501(3)( c) organization that endeavors to provide clothing both to those victimized by disaster, as well those living in extreme poverty. In addition to providing new clothing directly and at no cost to those in need, Clothes4Souls also provides gently used clothing to local textile workers in the developing world for refurbishing and subsequent sale in the local trade. This model, combining cost-free and immediate donation of apparel and the effort to build and support local textile micro-industry, is unique and revolutionary in the oft controversial used clothing trade.

In addition to the donation of clothing, INDi and Clothes4Souls have also teamed to offer a custom Clothes4Souls jean. When consumers choose to add the Clothes4Souls custom emblem to their jeans, INDi provides clothing to 10 additional people in need.

As individuals, and as a company, we at INDi are proud of our work to help all people have the basic clothing they need.
